That absence is real for the herb taken alone. It is not, however, the whole story, and each deep-dive above exists because a straightforward "there's nothing here" summary would have missed something specific and checkable:
- The libido claim is not merely untested — it sits directly beside a genuine, findable, and easily-confused body of clinical research on a different plant with the same common name.
- The digestive claim has one real, recent, mechanistically-probed laboratory study behind it, not zero.
- The antimicrobial and antioxidant claims are the most consistently replicated finding on this herb, across multiple countries and research groups — genuinely real chemistry, with a concrete arithmetic demonstration of why it does not translate to "eating the herb fights infection."
- The "no human trials" claim, repeated on this site's own main page until this build corrected it, was specifically wrong: two real trials exist, tangled in a formula-substitution problem worth understanding rather than a simple gap in the literature.
